MOBYDICK in the storm …

Stop of operations this Saturday, March 10 with the arrival of a beautiful storm! North winds blow at more than 40 knots with peaks forecast at more than 50 knots, the remains of a tropical cyclone that struck Madagascar, and the RV Marion Dufresne went to shelter in the bay of Morbihan.

The arrival in the bay allowed to admire momentarily the fabulous landscapes of the archipelago bathed in a beautiful autumn light. The departure to a new visit of the M4 station was on the other hand more animated and, on the day of March 12, the RV Marion Dufresne had to face winds which reached peaks at 84 knots, i.e. 160 km / h, accompanied by waves of 8 m!
